Sales Consultant

Our sales team needs you

If you have a proven track record of making sales, problem-solving and offering outstanding customer service as well as good practical knowledge of England and the activities we offer, then we want to hear from you.

In Brief:

  • Role – Sales Consultant
  • Office Location – Kirkby Lonsdale, including flexible & hybrid working
  • Type – Full time
  • Office Time – 95% In the field – 5%
  • Salary – £19,500-£24,500 per annum, dependent on experience

We’re looking for someone who

  • Is experienced in sales, ideally in the travel or tourism sector
  • Has a proven track record of reaching and exceeding ambitious sales targets
  • Is comfortable selling both fixed and customised products
  • Is agile, flexible and does quick but accurate work
  • Has strong writing skills, including copywriting and editing
  • Pays close attention to details and has good numeracy and admin skills
  • Has worked with cloud-based CRM systems, like Salesforce as well as Google Apps and Mac applications
  • Enjoys and has experience of the activities we offer
  • Knows their way around England and can confidently describe it –  bonus points if you have knowledge of regions of Wales and Scotland as well
  • Is committed to sustainability and is an advocate for wild places and our planet

Your responsibilities will primarily include

  • Replying to written and telephone client enquiries in a timely manner
  • Following sales processes to convert enquiries to bookings
  • Listening to the clients, understanding their desires and selling the best trip to them
  • Processing new bookings
  • Maintaining up to date and accurate information on our CRM system
  • Compilation of client travel documentation
