Growing up in Cornwall I spent a lot of time on Dartmoor where I first learnt to navigate and camp. The Dartmoor granite taught me to climb and slowly I ebbed my way into life as a full-time instructor. I worked as a climbing coach and walking guide until I was called to Scotland in search of winter climbing. Since then I’ve worked and travelled all over the UK, and I’ve never been happier. A climbing accident brought me a love of all things paddlesports and my passion now lies in white water paddleboarding. The thing I love most about being a guide is the people I get to meet and share the outdoors with.
Places to play
Glen Roy near Roy Bridge is my favourite place to be. The parallel lines on the hillside are incredible and the river Roy is my favourite river to paddle. For climbing I love the Peak District, it’s in the name!
