With my wife, I volunteered with Ocean Youth Club, taking young people to sea on a 72ft Ketch yacht for personal development.

Following retirement from Local Government, I have undertaken paid freelance work in the outdoor industry. I have combined assessing Duke of Edinburgh expeditions with taking charity fundraisers up Ben Nevis, working for Torridon Outdoors and providing safety cover for MTB races and swim events.
