Mini Bio
I was brought up in the picturesque west coast community of Lochcarron in the Scottish Highlands and I remember listening to the stags eerily roaring across the loch each autumn. Ever since my childhood I’ve had a strong connection with the landscape and nature; it enthuses me and feeds my soul. Both my grandma’s travelled extensively, even into their latter years and that wanderlust and love of maps has rubbed off on me.
I’m the Head of Marketing at Wilderness England and I hope my love and enthusiasm for active adventure, wild places and good food inspires people to visit the incredible and diverse places in England.
Favourite Place to Play
My grandma lived in Redhill and I have a good friend that lives just round the corner, so access to the Surrey Hills for walking and road cycling is easy and I enjoy regular forays into the North Downs. The leafy roads and bridleways link up so many options that are perfect for gravel biking, you needn’t ride the same trail twice on a circuit.
Not a Lot of People Know This
I failed my Bronze DofE after some shoddy map reading within the first half a mile. We were given a second chance on day 2 and promptly managed to get lost then too.
