      Overall, this self-guided hike had a mix of highs and lows. The hotels and inns along the route were lovely, and having accommodations and luggage transfer arranged in advance was a real convenience. That said, the trip felt pretty bare bones when it came to support. We weren't clearly told about the one-bag limit upfront and were surprised with extra charges for additional luggage. More significantly, the directions were often scant — on one day, unclear guidance led us in the wrong direction into town, adding an extra mile and a half to our walk. Between the vague trail directions and equally vague directions to the hotels/inns, we didn't feel very supported throughout the trip. If the company improved the clarity of their route and lodging directions upfront, this could be a much stronger experience.

      The hikes on this trip were much too difficult for me even after I trained diligently to prepare for them. In my opinion only very experienced, advanced hikers in top condition should sign up.

      The iconic peaks was a great trip. Would strongly recommend. My experience with Wilderness England was superb, from the planning to execution. Would strongly recommend it.

      First class; all the elements of group, guide, hiking challenge and learning history came together with organizing-logistics and good food and accommodation. We felt like friends when the trip wrapped up.
