    Client Reviews

Rated 4.95 out of 5 based on 465 review(s) of Client Reviews

Every client receives a feedback survey when they return from their guided, self guided or tailor made vacations with us. Once completed the review is published on our website just as soon as our database updates. The little touches and details are important to us and where issues are raised we make positive changes to our trips to improve your experience.

That’s why we read each of our client’s reviews and although we don’t respond to all of them, if it’s glowing feedback then we get the satisfaction of helping to make your vacations truly memorable.

    The Bottom Line

    The Bottom Line

The coast to coast trip is the longest trip offered by wilderness England. It is a demanding trip and should be advertised as such. There are a lot of logistics involved, including transfers and pick ups and drop offs at certain trail locations, since this is only the highlights and does not hike the entire coast to Coast Trail. Wilderness England should designate this trip as a more extreme trip, given the length of the hiking overall and some of the sections are very challenging. Several members of the group struggled to keep up with the day-to-day demands of the hike. The guides had to accommodate slower and faster paces. Paul and Zoe both did a good job as guides and we would strongly recommend either one of them. Some of the accommodations were only average, and some of the food was average at best. The one negative was the slow dinner and breakfast service at nearly every hotel, resulting in long delays and unusually long dinner times of well over two hours, the scenery was beautiful and wilderness. England did a nice job of incorporating additional experiences, including tours of historic areas and houses along the way.

I have no complaints. All aspects of the trip were great, from the time we booked until the last day, and I can't say that about many trips. It was close to perfect! We did have some rain.....

    The Bottom Line

I would go on another Wilderness England trip - impressed with quality of the guide and thoughtful planning that obviously went into the trip. I would look for one at a lower challenge level (2 vs 3) and possibly one with more choices in the itinerary.
