    Mini Bio

I grew up with a passion for the environment and travel. After working in the marine environment sector for many years, I have also begun to focus on the mountains, particularly long distance remote hiking trails.

Whilst I still love to explore abroad, nothing can beat a rugged day in the Scottish wilderness or a summer’s afternoon in the English countryside, where you can mix history, nature, culture and the beautiful outdoors all into one trip!

    Favourite Place to Play

I love many places in England, but one that stands out is Northumberland, particularly for its remoteness. On the coast, you have long empty beaches with the epic ruins of castles on the headlands. Inland, you have forests and beautiful rivers where you can lose a day.

Not a lot of People Know This

For many years, growing up, it was my dream to learn to sail, buy a sailing boat and sail around the world. I’ve been a little distracted with other things, but still often think about one day dropping everything, buying a boat and disappearing into the sunset.

It has to be the Pacific Crest Trail. Almost 5 months hiking 20+ miles every day with all your provisions on your back.

I love Nature, and I am always learning more, whether it’s about flora, fauna, or the wider environment I’m in. Hiking and living in remote areas are also among my interests.
