    Mini Bio

From an early age, I was introduced to the great outdoors, having grown up near the beach in Cornwall and later near Dartmoor in Devon, I was forever coaxed out, sometimes against my will. Alongside a growing love for outdoor adventure, I developed 20 years experience supporting various age groups experiencing mental health difficulties and in various capacities. However, 10 years ago, I was ready for a change and chose to move to the Lake District. I am a qualified mountain leader and rock climbing instructor, and my time is often spent guiding people in the Lakeland fells, scrambling in the ghylls or introducing people to the wonderful sport of rock climbing. I know the Lake District particularly well, though I have walked and climbed in various places in Scotland and Wales as well as other areas of the UK.

While much of my work experience has been in the UK, I have had the fortune of supporting and leading groups of youngsters on expeditions in various countries outside of Europe, including Peru, Eswatini and Vietnam.

In future, I look forward to continuing to share my love for adventure with those I have the privilege of meeting and share the wonderful ways we can interact with and journey through the beautiful parts of this Island we call home.

    Favourite Place to Play

Mainly down in the Langdale Valley in the Lake District, walking, climbing, scrambling and a dip in the tarns.

Not a lot of People Know This

    I’m obsessed with cereal.

What Fellow Travellers Say About Jennifer

Jennifer was fabulous in every way. 1) She is extremely knowledgeable about the area, which came in very handy when the high volume of rain caused many of our planned routes to be inaccessible. 2) She was very attentive to each of us both for our safety and our enjoyment. She gave good advice about when to use certain equipment and clothing.that kept us safe and warm 3) she has a wonderful sense of humor and rolled along wonderfully with our quirks and elderly challenges 4) She had to spend a great deal of time at the end of each day researching, planning and re-routing, but she never once seemed discouraged. In summary, she was a joy to be with, very professional yet loads of fun.

Jennifer was simply the best! Highly skilled and knowledgeable about the area. And she has a lovely personality and laughed at all of our jokes. It rained every day, and there were some downpours and high winds. But Jennifer always provided alternative plans to make sure we would get the most out of the experience. We are four strong-willed women, but she was able to guides us in a gentle but firm way that we all appreciated.

Jennifer, you know we loved you. Everything was scenic and beautiful, but it would be a totally different trip without you. Thank you for a truly wonderful and memorable time.
