    Mini Bio

I have always been an active and sporty kid, so it was no surprise that I enrolled in a sports college in the Netherlands. Here, I was introduced to the great outdoors on a two month work placement in Northern Ireland. On return to the Netherlands, I quickly realised that for someone who loves the mountains, the Netherlands is just too flat.

Several years later, I started a job at The Outward Bound Trust in Ullswater, Cumbria, to really focus on getting qualified. This was the springboard to my current career, working with young people and adults in the UK and further afield.

    Favourite Place to Play

I am very lucky to live on the edge of the Lake District National Park. The mountains and lakes are right on my doorstep and easy to access for adventures on bike, foot, or on a paddle board.

Not a lot of People Know This

My new skill to learn is kite surfing.

I have led many high-altitude treks in Tanzania, North Peru, and Morocco. Closer to home, I love leading walking tours in either the Alps or the UK.
The people I have been lucky to work with have been very diverse, people from all walks of life, young and old, with their own stories to tell.

My many personal trips always contain an element of adventure or a challenge. This has led me to scramble along the GR20 in Corsica, circumnavigate the Netherlands on a bike, and summit Mt. Elbrus in Russia, to name a few.
