      Arrival in Cornwall

Arrive at Truro Railway Station, where your guide will be waiting. Enjoy getting to know your fellow travellers over a relaxed lunch at a nearby café before setting off in the comfort of your vehicle. Wind your way south to the Lizard Peninsula, a landscape of sweeping cliffs, quiet coves and centuries-old stories. Pause at a tiny church nestled between sand and sea, once featured in the hit TV show Poldark. Nearby, visit a picture-perfect harbour shaped by generations of fishermen before continuing to your welcoming accommodation on the Lizard Peninsula. Here, a warm welcome and a delicious dinner await to conclude your first day of adventure.

      Day 2

      Foraging & Fishing Villages

Begin your day with a bespoke foraging workshop led by a local expert. As you explore the coastline, learn to identify edible seaweeds and coastal herbs, and hear how these wild ingredients have long played a part in Cornish cooking. Continue to a traditional fishing village, where whitewashed cottages cluster around the cove and distinctive ‘cove boats’ rest on the shingle. Enjoy a fresh, local lunch by the sea before heading to the clifftop hut where Guglielmo Marconi made history with the world’s first transatlantic radio signal in 1901. Later, stroll the paths above the ocean at Lizard Point and pause at the striking Kynance Cove, known for its colourful geology and dramatic beauty. Return to your cosy accommodation after a memorable dinner in a nearby restaurant.

      Day 3

      St Michael’s Mount

This morning, travel to the historic market town of Marazion, where the iconic silhouette of St Michael’s Mount rises from the sea just offshore. Cross the tidal causeway to this island fortress, once home to both monks and soldiers. Twinned with Mont-Saint-Michel in France, it shares the same air of drama and wonder. Wind through sub-tropical gardens and admire panoramic views from the castle walls. After a relaxed café lunch, there may be time to visit the charming fishing village of Mousehole, whose narrow streets and stone harbour have inspired generations of artists and poets. Later, continue to your lovely accommodation in Carbis Bay, where comfort and coastal charm await.

Day 4 – Mines, Moorland & the Minack Theatre Read Less

      Day 4

Mines, Moorland & the Minack Theatre

Today, journey to Cornwall’s far west—the Penwith Peninsula. Uncover the region’s industrial past at one of Cornwall’s most atmospheric heritage sites, offering a glimpse into the county’s mining story, including tales of tin, steam and the people who once shaped the cliffs. Later, step even further back in time at Carn Euny Ancient Village. Wander through the remains of stone huts and peer into a mysterious underground passageway known as a fogou, its true purpose still debated. After a delicious lunch of local fare, join a guided tour of the Minack Theatre, a world-famous open-air venue carved into the cliffs. As waves crash below, discover the story of Rowena Cade and the challenges of staging performances on a Cornish cliffside. Return to your accommodation this evening with a deeper appreciation for Cornwall’s long and layered story.

Enjoy a slow morning in St Ives, with time to explore at your own pace. Perhaps visit the Tate or the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden, or browse the independent shops tucked along cobbled lanes. Pause for lunch at a café with a view – sea breeze optional, but likely. In the afternoon, travel north through the Cornish countryside, stopping for a scoop of traditional Cornish ice cream before heading to a local vineyard for a behind-the-scenes tour and tasting. After enjoying a glass or two with the beautiful Cornish view, hop in the van to head to your beachfront accommodation. Here, dinner awaits—fresh, seasonal and rooted in Padstow’s renowned culinary scene.
