    Mini Bio

I moved to North Wales to study, and became an avid rock climber and mountain walker. Nowadays I tend to opt for running, hiking, bike touring, and swimming in whatever water I can find. Having climbed, walked and bike toured in many countries, Scotland has to be the highlighted top of many of these adventures, from running in the Rum Cuillins, cycling the Applecross peninsula, climbing the in-accessible pinnacle on the Skye Cuillins and finding a remote loch for a dip.

However, there is nothing like coming home from adventures and pottering in my garden in North Wales with a lovely view of northern Eryri (Snowdonia).

I have a particular interest in plants which has led me to work as a botanist surveying remote parts of the Scottish Highlands and Islands.

I also work as a gardener when at home in Wales.

Dave was great. Always organized and very resourceful in front of unexpected changes (as previously mentioned). He was always very aware of the needs / circumstances of all the travellers and checked that everyone was feeling well and having a good time. He was also very knowledgeable.

I found Dave to be a terrific guide. He was funny and knowledgeable, positive and supportive. A good cheerleader when necessary. I always felt we were in good hands. He also "gave good chat" and kept things engaging during the hikes and during meals. I'd look for future walks with Dave.
