Outdoor and environmental education tutor based in North Wales. Mountain leader, sea kayak coach, geography teacher, field studies tutor, expedition leader and nature enthusiast.
Passionate about sharing experiences, making the outdoors accessible, and the impact thattime in nature can have on a persons wellbeing and confidence.
I enjoy running, yoga and cooking. I can generally be found on the hills, on the sea, in a tent, in a boat… or curled up by the fire with my spaniel.
I love to explore locally at home in North Wales, chill out in Pembrokeshire, spent lots of time in Cumbria, Yorkshire and Northumberland and spend as much time in Scotland I
can.
I have explored various places across the world and always looking to see more but the places I always want to return to are Ladakh and Norway.
When I should have been revising for A-levels I played the pantomime fairy in our local theatre.

Formerly a Rights of Way Officer I spent time working on various projects including the development of the Wales Coast Path before retraining as a geography teacher. Rather than working in a school I embraced Field Studies full time working mostly with A-level Geography and Biology students undertaking practical field work skills and investigations and also taking some time to occasionally lead on overseas expeditions. in 2015 I left secure employment in order to incorporate more of the things I am passionate about into my year. My work life is ever evolving but is currently a tapestry of guiding trips and helping people explore the environments I love, teaching field studies, leading on adventurous and overseas expeditions and also and personal development with young people in a wilderness setting.
The next one? Probably not the biggest I’ve ever done but it was at the time and sticks in my mind; spending 4 weeks wild camping and trekking on dry land and Ice in Finmark (Norway) … the first time I’d been away from hope for more than 2 weeks.
All and none. Jill of all trades.I love to find out a little bit about all aspects of whichever environment I’m in.
