    Mini Bio

    After completing my BSc in Sports Science in Sheffield I moved into working in the cycling industry and there I have remained all of my working career. I’ve worked in the charity sector promoting cycling and walking in schools, in the private sector managing UK wide cycling brands and for the National Governing Body; British Cycling as a Partnership Manager. Now I work for myself and some other fantastic organisations guiding, tutoring and coaching in all areas of the cycling and running worlds.

    It has to be the Peak District, on my doorstep and such a huge variety of fantastic on and off road riding to be had!

    Not a lot of People Know This

    I once had to sprint back stage at the 2012 Olympics to find a new Russian flag for a medal ceremony after a colleague managed to give himself a paper-cut and bleed onto the white section just before the flags were due to go out for the anthems.

    I’ve been extremely fortunate to guide all over the world and on a number of longer point to point tours such as from St Malo to Nice on a number of occasions, Bilbao to Tarifa, LEJOG, Wales C2C, Way of the Roses, Sardinia C2C in addition to a number of weekend and week-long trips. A keen rider myself I have completed some fantastic events such as the Mallorca 312, Fred Whitton, Ronde Van Calderdale, L2P in under 24hrs.

    I have signed up to ride the inaugural Pure Peak Grit in Yorkshire which is billed as being the UK’s hilliest long distance cycling event with 610km and 13,600m of accent, linking together every categorised climb in the Peak District and the ‘Greatest 100 climbs’ around it! Gulp!
