Our Assurance

While hopefully, the worst of the pandemic is behind us, we understand that travel can still feel tricky. We want to reassure you therefore that we continue to be well-prepared, well-informed, and happily ready to give you a fantastic, memorable and safe holiday.

Our operating procedures are aligned with the guidelines provided by the UK Government, which means it’s simple to keep up to date with our rules and regulations. You can find the current guidelines here: Coronavirus in the UK. It is important to note that guidance for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland may differ.

At present, our standard terms and conditions apply to all our trips as there are no restrictions on travel. However, in the event that this changes and our ability to operate trips is affected, we will be in touch to discuss your options. As always, we have a diligent and friendly team that are happy to answer any questions that you may have.

Your Trip with Wilderness England

Traveller Responsibility Read More

The safety of everyone on the trip is our top priority and as such we are encouraging every traveller to take a covid lateral flow test before travel if possible. Our guides are following the same testing procedure and have also been vaccinated according to eligibility guidelines.

We ask that if you do feel unwell at any point during the trip you let your guide or a member of the Wilderness team know, as soon as possible.

Outside of government regulations, we encourage both our guests and our guides to do what feels best for them; leaving the decision to wear a mask in areas where it is not required by law, to the discretion of the individual.

What We’re Doing Read More

While adhering to all UK Government guidelines, we are also continuing to implement important covid preventative measures.

All our guides are trained on our new operating systems before leading a trip. This means that as well as ensuring the safety of you and your fellow travellers, they will be able to advise on any relevant procedures during the course of your holiday.

All of our equipment will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before being re-issued. On trips, any equipment you are given will be yours throughout the trip and our guides will clean and disinfect equipment as required. Our vehicles are subject to enhanced cleaning, with hand sanitiser being readily available for passengers.

While each accommodation will have slightly different arrangements, it is important that we adhere to their guidelines. This is also applicable to restaurants and cafes. Our guides will do their best to inform you ahead of time if there is any significant procedure that you should be aware of prior to arrival.

We ask all travellers to be conscientious and courteous towards everyone on the trip, respecting personal space and individual decisions around mask-wearing.

Insurance Read More

It is always important to have adequate travel insurance. We believe that peace of mind when travelling is paramount to enjoyment, and therefore actively encourage all our clients to ensure they have the correct insurance for their specific needs. We are not able to advise on travel insurance policies and therefore ask that you contact your preferred insurance company directly.

In addition, it is worth double-checking your policy’s stance on travel disruption, including delays and cancellations. The Association of British Insurers Q & A is a useful tool, and while more relevant for travellers from the UK, still raises useful questions to put to any travel insurer.
